Where is Kombi Keg based, and do you travel?

We are based in Durban. We travel anywhere within a 100km radius of Durban, from the Hibiscus Coast in the South to the Dolphin Coast in the North as well as into the rolling hills of the Midlands.

How much is it to hire the Kombi Keg?

We have developed four popular time packages of 4, 6, 8 and 12+ hours, but due to variations every event will be different, we would love to help develop a package that will suit your requirements.

Can the Kombi Keg dispense drinks other than beer?

Yes! Anything that comes in keg form can be served through the freezing cold taps of the Kombi Keg. Including water, soft drinks, ciders, wines etc.

Do you stay and serve the beverages?

If it is on private property, then there is an option of self service. You may request bar staff if required.

Do you supply the kegs and beverages?

We will endeavour to make the beverage ordering and purchasing process as easy and pain free as possible by directing you to a brewer in your area who you can purchase the alcohol from.

How many drinks are there in a keg?

The number of drinks vary depending on the size of the glasses/cups that are being used.

Do you supply cups / glasses?

Yes, we do! We can supply 500ml clear biodegradable cups.

We supply glassware at an extra cost which includes a breakage/damage deposit which will be refunded upon final inspection of goods. Please see our Terms and Conditions.

Do I need to provide power?

230v power is not required for the Kombi Kegs instant chill cooling system. However, if you would like to use the 55′ flat screen TV, you will need to supply 230v power. Our Kombi Keg comes with a 50m extension lead.

Do I have to have the surfboard on the side? Are there other options?

The surfboard bench is the original and classic bench of the Kombi Keg, but we understand that not everyone wants the surfboard and that some events, like weddings, prefer a classier option. We have a rustic wooden bench for such occasions. When you book you can choose whichever bench best suits your event.

What kind of venue do I need to have to use the Kombi Keg?

First of all, you will need a venue that the Kombi Keg can access, most large properties are fine, but if you are using your backyard just check that we can get the Kombi Keg in. The Kombi Keg is best used on private property, but if you need to use it on public/municipal property then you need to check with your local municipality if you require a permit. Most hire venues are private property, however every venue has different rules, so check with the venue for their rules and regulations around the serving of alcohol and the use of the Kombi Keg. It is the responsibility of the person hiring the Kombi Keg to check this out before booking as all deposits are non-refundable. Please see our Terms & Conditions.

Is Kombi Keg environmentally friendly?

Here at Kombi Keg we try and do our little bit for the environment! A major benefit to draft keg beverages is that there is a lot less waste, a 30L keg equates to about 88 standard 340ml bottles or cans going to landfill. With much less waste the event stays looking clean and stylish as guests tend to refill instead of leaving empties laying around.

How do we book?

Contact us at any time to confirm if your ideal date is available and ensure all your questions are answered. To secure your booking a deposit of 50% of your total fee will be required. Any booking done within 28 days of the event requires 100% fee to secure your booking.The remaining 50% of your total fee is to be paid no less than 28 days before the date of the event. Kombi Keg does not provide refunds in the case of bad weather. If you have a wet weather plan we will work with the event host to make those arrangements, but please give us enough notice so the details can be arranged! We prefer to know the change of at least 24 hours before the event. We have a 3×4.5m Marquee for hire to provide some shelter if needed. We would be willing to reschedule in the case of inclement weather. Please see our Terms and Conditions.
